My name is Eduardo and my mission was to help animals in need around the world because I wanted to make sure that all animal species survive and are treated fairly and respectfully.
After researching online various charities, I picked the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) because it helps different species of animals in different countries around the world. They give money to groups for conservation, like fighting poachers. They also educate people to make better choices for animal survival and the environment.
I raised $110 for WWF by explaining my project to family and neighbors and then asking for their support by either making a donation or signing a pledge to do it when they were ready. In addition, I donated some of my Christmas money gifts to WWF. I know it does not sound like much, but it made me feel good that I had contributed to save animals and people in some way.
For the moment, I am not continuing the project. However, I am looking into local volunteer opportunities to help dogs and cats. I suggest that kids choose a charity that they are passionate about. For me it was helping animals, I hope that other kids get inspired and help me help animals.
