Teaching Kindness, Service, Community, and Giving to students around the world

The Giving Project for Children aims to help parents, administrators, and teachers incorporate the study of giving and philanthropy within the classroom.  I have created a fully implementable curriculum at the elementary level and will soon be expanding to middle school as well as high school.

In addition to this curriculum, I am available for professional development workshops and will work with schools to help them create programs tailored for their needs.  I’m currently working with several schools to help implement the project.

The Giving Project for Children is a registered Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation as well as a 501(c)(3).

Please take the time to explore our website and donate to The Giving Project.  Teaching kids how to love giving at an early age is one of the best gifts we can give them!

Featured Givers: Meet Brynne

My name is Brynne Rhodes. My mission is to prevent or cure Breast Cancer, and to spread awareness about the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  The charity I chose is TheBreast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).  They try to find a way to prevent and cure breast cancer!

To fundraise for my charity I held a bake sale outside of a local Starbucks with a friend I asked to help me.  My Dad is a great baker and he baked a lot of the goodies. That day we raised $160 for BCRF.  I plan to continue until we find a cure. And I have continued fundraising for BCRF through the national campaign I started, The Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge where I spread the word about my mission and try to inspire kids, families, and corporations to make Pink Lemonade stands in their communities and donate the proceeds to BCRF.

As of November 2019, we have raised of $60,000!  We have been featured on the TODAY show with Jenna & Hoda as well as local news stories around the country.  I feel amazing that I am spreading awareness and raising money towards an important cause.  My parents were so proud of me for participating in the Giving Project and so excited to see me speak about my Giving Project experience in front of my classmates and their families!
